Position Overview:

Crossvale is looking for a passionate and motivated Platform Architect that will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging large infrastructure deployments for the biggest financial services companies in the country. 

Key Responsibilities:

General role duties 

• Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and potential customers. 
• Demonstrating how a product will meet client needs. 
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support. Modify and configure products to meet customer needs. 
• Help in researching and developing new products. 
• Take full responsibility for the technical aspects of the sales cycle including general evangelism, introductory meetings, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of additional supporting technical resources. 
• Excellent communication skills, team player with a positive attitude and ability to operate across multiple technical disciplines. Triaging and troubleshooting production issues. 
• Effective analytic/diagnostic skills. Researching and implementing ways to automate the management of infrastructure. 
• A strong desire to understand complex systems and how to troubleshoot and make them highly available. 
• Ability to work with virtual / in-person teams, and work under pressure / to a deadline. 
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. 
• Experience with large scale migration design, solution, and planning.  
• A drive to provide a better Developer Experience.  Engineer and develop solutions to drive at scale.  

 Specific position duties 

• Identify and handle key customer technical objections, prescriptively guiding them to success. 
• Work with customers to understand their specific needs and translate internally into products/ services. 
• Work with senior leadership at clients to make sure client needs are met. Develop technical solutions for client-specific use cases. 
• Be part of the Client Centers of Excellence to provide an expansive list of offerings to help their applications on their journey to adopt containers/Kubernetes.  
• Continuously develop relationships at the "implementation" level within each customer relationship. Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education. 
• Provide training and producing support material for the sales team. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or MIS/IT or equivalent experience 
•  Experience in Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment. 
• 8+ years of experience working as a sales engineer, solutions architect, or in an equivalent role with large enterprise accounts. 
• 8+ years in a professional senior technical role such as technical lead, team lead, architect, or any other hands-on leadership role. 
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with emerging technology in areas where Red Hat competes including DevOps, microservices, cloud platforms, software-defined storage, container platform and orchestration, and virtualization. 
• Extensive expereince with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS and Azure
• Experience with open-source distributung systems like Kafka
