Overview:

Crossvale is looking for a talented and motivated Accountant to join our growing team of professionals. The Accountant must have strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and passion for Accounting. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Enter vendor bills into accounting system
  • Process and maintain Payroll for all employees
  • Track and maintain company credit card expenses & receipts for expense reports
  • Maintain Vendor & Customer records
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable and follow up on aging items
  • Process and Approve timesheets for Billing purposes
  • Invoice customers for time & materials and fixed amount projects 
  • Post journal entries allocating prepaid expenses and deferred revenue
  • Process monthly sales tax returns for multiple states
  • Generate financial statements according to deadlines
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close process
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize account information
  • Develop periodic reports for management
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts
  • Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
  • Keep up with financial policies, regulations and legislation

Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Accounting or related field)
  • 4-5 years experience working in a Accounting/Finance environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular), Google Drive
  • Knowledge of Bill.com and Expensify.com (preferred)
  • Experience preparing and analyzing P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flow
  • Experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Experience with Oracle Netsuite and OpenAir (preferred)
  • Experience in multi-entity transactions / reporting 
  • Experience in multi-currency transactions
  • Knowledge of sales tax return preparation
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience working in a services company is strongly preferred
  • Flexible to changing priorities and ability to function in a fast pace environment
