Position Overview:

Crossvale is actively seeking a Senior Application Developer who is not only passionate but also highly motivated. In this role, you will take charge of designing, developing, rigorous testing, and expertly debugging responsive web and mobile applications for our organization. 

Key Responsibilities:

General role duties 

• Designs and develops software applications in Java, Python, Node.js or other relevant languages.   
• Participates in the evolution of company level best practices, standards, and policies as it is related to infrastructure design, deploy and maintain.  
• Provide direction to a client in the areas of Cloud, Containers, Network routing, SSL certificates, Virtualization, System automation, Compute, Storage and OS setup. 
• Help organizations transform from a legacy mindset to a modern mindset focused around automation, containerization, orchestration and DevOps. 
• Designs and utilizes test suites for TDD and automated software testing. 
• Works in an agile team under both Scrum and Kanban practices. 
• Manages a complete software development lifecycle including following proper source control process, building testing and automation pipelines and troubleshooting development and production problems.
• Coordinates with clients, relationship managers and other appropriate areas to ensure clients are properly serviced, paperwork is properly executed.

• Develops strong working relationships with assigned clients and Crossvale resources.

 Specific position duties 

• Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools. 
• Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation and looks for ways to improve the applications. 
• Analyze requirements and define objectives for complex projects involving multiple components. 
• Development of proof of concepts on new technologies. 
• Enhances architecture team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members. 
• Ability to understand analysis/requirements and communicate on state of tasks and project scope. 
• Ability to deploy the delivered implementation to the appropriate environment. 
• Manage developers when applicable overseeing their deliverables and managing their career plan. 

 Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or MIS/IT or equivalent experience 
• Experience developing applications for Kubernetes environments and microservices.
• Work with Kubernetes / OpenShift as the runtime platform.
• DevOps experience as a user, DevOps Engineer position is a plus. 
• Automation experience with Ansible/Terraform 
• Git Experience with a good understanding of GitFlow 
• Synchronous and Asynchronous patterns are a plus.  
• Azure experience is a must. Certifications are a plus. 
• Experience working in an automated testing environment. 
• Cloud Native development is a nice to have.
